The third Biochar Malaysia Association International Conference (BMAIC) brings together researchers, industry practitioners, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and community leaders to exchange knowledge, share practical experiences, and foster collaboration in biochar research and sustainable development. With the theme Biochar Nexus, Agriculture, climate action, and sustainable bio-economy, BMAIC 2027 explores the role of biochar in sustainable agriculture, climate change mitigation, carbon markets, biomass valorization, and the circular bio-economy. We warmly invite researchers, professionals, students, industry partners, and policy makers to participate and contribute to this international conference.

With the theme “Biochar Nexus: Bridging Agriculture, Climate Action and Sustainable Bioeconomy,” BMAIC 2027 highlights the unique role of biochar in addressing several sustainability challenges at the same time. Biochar can transform biomass residues into a valuable and stable carbon-rich material, improve soil health and nutrient retention, support resilient crop production and store carbon for the long term. These benefits make biochar a promising solution for climate change mitigation and for strengthening the resilience of agricultural and environmental systems. The conference will also explore its wider applications in carbon credit trading, biomass valorisation, circular bioeconomy and the transition towards net-zero development.

We are honoured to welcome distinguished keynote and invited speakers who will share their scientific knowledge, industry experience and practical insights into biochar production, field applications, carbon markets and sustainable bioeconomy. Extended Abstract (Two Pages)

A two-page extended abstract should include title, name, affiliation and address of all authors, email address of the corresponding author, introduction, methodology, results, discussion, conclusion and list of references.

• Type using single-space in Times New Roman, font size 12.
• Name of the presenter should be underlined, and the name of the corresponding author must be started with an asterisk (*).
• Figures and tables may be included at appropriate location in the main text.
